STEAM at AB

Essential Question:

How do we create a coherent vision for student STEAM learning at AB?

All students participate in STEAM learning experiences throughout their time at ABRSD in order to construct authentic, ethical, and creative solutions to real-world problems. By developing the STEAM Habits of Mind, students build their capacity to communicate and take action to address challenges. Educators are supported to be effective STEAM educators and see the value of STEAM education.

STEAM is an interdisciplinary, collaborative and inclusive approach to learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, the arts and/or mathematics. Disciplinary concepts are embedded in real-world problem-solving that promotes creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication.
