Thank You to Staff and Students
I want to give a huge thank you to our staff and students who braved the heat over the last few days. The heat was a major issue in our schools and classrooms without air conditioning. In particular, Blanchard, Conant,
the Junior High School and some parts of the high school presented really challenging conditions for teaching and learning. Thank you to everyone who kept things moving for our students.

Coming Soon - ParentSquare Communication App
In the next two weeks, you will be receiving an invitation to sign-up for an account in our new ParentSquare application. ParentSquare allows for more streamlined, two-way, multi-lingual communication between our schools,
district, and families. You do not need to sign up for an account to continue receiving email, text and phone communication from us, but signing up for an account will give you access to
the ParentSquare App, and allow you to personalize your communication settings. Don't want to wait two weeks to learn more? Watch the brief video below for an overview of ParentSquare! Questions...
we will send out more information in the next two weeks, including information about how to get your questions answered!

Health Update
There has been recent publicity regarding the latest increase in Covid 19 cases. While we are not mandating testing or tracking case numbers, we do request that if your child is sick they should stay home. If you choose to test
and obtain a positive result, please let your school nurse know.
The Department of Health continues to mandate a 5 day isolation and masking for Covid positive cases. As expected, the start of the school year also brings an increase in other contagious illnesses such as Strep infections,
RSV, colds and flu. Again, please keep sick children home.

Acton-Boxborough Resource Center Grand Opening!
I am excited to share the opening of the Acton-Boxborough Resource Center. We will have an Open House on
Wednesday, September 13 from 1:30 pm-3:30 p.m. with tours. We will have a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. with
Senator Jamie Eldridge. The A-B Resource Center is a joint venture between ABRSD and the Acton-Boxborough United Way to provide ongoing support and resources to families from the time they enter our schools through graduation. The Resource Center was
funded through an earmark in the state budget sponsored by Senator Eldridge. Click here to read more about the A-B Resource Center!
Our video will soon be available in our 7 most frequently spoken languages!
