Superintendent Search Screening Committee - Interest form Due Wednesday, September 16

We invite and encourage interested members of our community to submit their names for consideration to serve on the Screening Committee. The committee will review applications, identify candidates to interview, and potentially advance finalists to the School Committee for its consideration. Serving on the Screening Committee is a significant commitment. Members selected must be available to attend all scheduled meetings and participate throughout the screening process.

The Superintendent Screening Committee will be composed of 18 members, bringing together School Committee leadership, district administrators, staff representatives, parents and guardians, and community members. The proposed membership is designed to provide a broad range of perspectives while ensuring representation from both Acton and Boxborough.

School Committee	Three members of the School Committee from both Acton and Boxborough (Adam Klein, Lisa Adil, and Jacob Fay)
District Leadership	Deputy Superintendent, Central Office administrator, High School administrator, Junior High administrator, two elementary administrators
Certified Staff	Two elementary staff members, one Junior High staff member, one High School staff member
ABEA	One member from the Acton Boxborough Educators Association, selected by the ABEA
SEPAC	One member of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council, selected by SEPAC
Parents/Guardians	One parent/guardian from Acton, one parent/guardian from Boxborough
Community Members	One community member from Acton, one from Boxborough; The community representative role is intended for residents who may not be a parent/guardian of a current ABRSD student but who are actively engaged in the community through other roles, such as service on town boards, committees, or other community organizations.

Wednesday, October 7, 6:30–8:00 p.m. — Virtual
Monday, October 19, 4:00–6:00 p.m. — In person
Tuesday, October 27, 4:00–8:00 p.m. — In person
Monday, November 2, 4:00–8:30 p.m. — Candidate interviews, tentative
Tuesday, November 3, 4:00–8:30 p.m. — Candidate interviews, tentative
Wednesday, November 4, 4:00–8:30 p.m. — Candidate interviews, tentative
Thursday, November 5, 5:00–9:00 p.m. — Candidate interviews, tentative
Tuesday, November 10, 5:00–9:00 p.m. — Candidate interviews, tentative

Applicants should only express interest if they can commit to attending all scheduled meetings, including the tentative interview dates.
